Hop Central

Conditioned using traditional lager brewing methods and then dry hopped with Azaca hops, Hop Central is light and malty on the tongue and fruity on the nose. Dry hopping this clean and crisp lager allowed us to give the beer a more punchy flavour and aroma profile while still holding on to the malt flavour expected in a lager.

ADDITIONAL TASTING NOTES

Colour/Appearance
The light golden hue of a classic lager with a snow white carbonated head.

Aroma
Perfectly balanced with tones of lemon, pine and passionfruit.

Aftertaste
The addition of the dry hops add flavours of citrus, pear apple and pine
needles leading to just the right amounts of bitterness with a nice dry
finish.
BREWER'S NOTE

Brewed in the traditional lager style using light malts with a generous
amount of bittering hops, dry hopped with Azaca hops before being packaged
in order to give more aromas and a higher level of fruity flavours than you
would normally get in a lager.

The Azacca hops were named after the Haitian Vodou Loa of agriculture who
has been described in folklore as been a big barefooted man with a straw
hat who worked the fields all day and was held in high regard by the locals
because of his hard work ethic.
Lager

Lager is a type of beer conditioned at low temperatures.
The term "lager" may also be used as a verb to describe the
cold-conditioning process that marks the style. There are dozens
of beer styles which fit in the lager type, broadly categorized
by the depth of color, being (from lightest to darkest) pale, golden, amber, or dark.
